Spend your Saturday afternoon celebrating the 10th Anniversary New Orleans Ragtime Festival with free live music at the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park.
Experience ragtime, the music that birthed jazz, through performances by outstanding New Orleans musicians who continue the city's rich musical traditions.
1:00 p.m. — Victor Campbell
Enjoy a special solo performance by acclaimed pianist Victor Campbell.
Approximately 2:15–2:45 p.m. — Dance Demonstration and Instruction
Enjoy a brief demonstration and instructional session exploring dances and social traditions of the ragtime era.
3:00 p.m. — Steve Pistorius & The Southern Syncopators
Close out the festival's free daytime programming with Steve Pistorius & The Southern Syncopators. A native New Orleanian, Steve Pistorius has spent more than 50 years performing, preserving, and contributing to the traditions of ragtime and early jazz.
Free and open to the public. No Festival Pass or ticket is required.
