Join us for an evening of premium Scotch Whisky and Gulf Oysters at Tableau’s new Oyster Bar. Guests will enjoy a selection of three Balvenie – 12 year DoubleWood, 14 year Peat Week (2003 Vintage), and 17 year DoubleWood. These whiskies are renowned for their incredible malt with a subtle peated quality. Paired with these elegant whiskies are three aqua culture oysters, each hand raised in a different region of the Gulf. It will be both educational and delicious (and a steal of a deal at $10!) It’s the perfect way to kick off the Holiday season.
The Balvenie is a range of single malt whiskies crafted by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE. Each expression is unique, but all are rich, luxuriously smooth and underpinned by a distinctive honeyed character.
DOUBLEWOOD 12 YEAR
NOSE Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla.
TASTE Smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavors, nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry.
FINISH Long and Warming
DOUBLEWOOD 17 YEAR
NOSE Elegant and complex oak, vanilla, honeyed sweetness and a hint of green apple.
TASTE Sweet with dried fruits, sherbet spice, toasted almonds and cinnamon, layered with a richness of creamy toffee notes and traces of oak and deep vanilla.
FINISH Vanilla oak, honey and spicy sweetness.
PEAT WEEK (2003 VINTAGE) 14 YEAR
NOSE Gentle sweet peat smoke with some lighter floral notes and delicate butterscotch honey.
TASTE Velvety and round to taste with the peat smoke balancing citrus flavours, oaky vanilla and blossom honey.
FINISH Gentle smoke with a lingering and creamy vanilla sweetness.
