7:30pm Dinner
The much anticipated four-year wheated bourbon from Ragged Branch is making its New Orleans debut at Bourbon House. On October 10th, Master Distiller, David Pickerell (formerly master distiller for Maker’s Mark) and owners Alex Toomy, Chris Sarpy, and Russell Nance will be in attendance for a cocktail dinner honoring this spirit’s release.
Ragged Branch Distillery, out of Charlottesville, Virginia, is unique in that their farm grows and produces all the raw ingredients used in the bourbon’s mash—making it truly farm to glass. For this dinner, guests will experience an extra special element: Ragged Branch beef. Their cattle are fed the recycled bourbon mash, giving the beef a distinctive bourbon flavor. Bourbon House chef Devan Giddix is taking it to the next level by smoking the beef using staves from the distillery’s oak bourbon barrels.
